Mama's been spending a lot of time on the deck lately, so I keep watch back here too.

Standing Guard

There's a lot to keep track of around here. Birds, deer, bunnies (not that I've ever actually SEEN one of these elusive bunnies. Or deer for that matter. I think they're making them up to get me all riled up. And they say I'm trouble.)

Anyway, good thing I have someplace to sit so I can see everything. Otherwise something might slip by.

Consolation Prize

I got a fancy new haircut earlier this week, but no one warned me they were gonna put a BOW on me!


True, it's on the side -- not my head -- and it does look kinda jaunty, but still! A bow! Thankfully mama cut it off yesterday.

To reward me for my good behavior (Mama wasn't there so she doesn't know all the sneaky stuff I pulled with those nice ladies. But we won't tell her.) she bought me a new toy!

I learned how to catch last week and I'm getting really good, so she got me something new to catch. Look! It's a monkey!


He tastes really good and he has a little string on top of his head, just like my penguin. It's turning into a zoo here!

And Now I Get Big Boy Food?

Mama came home with a different kind of food last night. It looks kinda the same as what I normally eat, except she said it's for big boys.

I wonder why the pieces are smaller then? Either way, she says it's for dogs that have "high energy" so I guess it'll make it easier for me to leap across the furniture.
